Meet The Muses
Learn a little about us before we help you learn all about art!
Sarah Muse
Academy Director
Sarah's passion for building a community where all artists, no matter where they are on their journey, can come together and learn, grow, and thrive has fueled her vision of the 9th Muse. She founded the 9th Muse in August 2019 after doing art lessons on the side for a year beforehand. The many people who have become a part of the Muse Community have made it what it is today. Sarah's goal has been to create a space where people can find their people and gain confidence as they develop skills that will last them a lifetime.
After teaching drawing and painting for six years, Sarah moved the 9th Muse to its current location to expand into pottery and sculpture. She has tried to make it a place where people can leave whatever they carry around at the door and focus on the here and now. For this reason, Sarah feels more refreshed leaving work than starting it.
